People who live in Hiinalinn, also need to store their cars and belongings, therefore a big part of the area consists of garage boxes.

Forgotten memories

Hiinalinn and the guerilla gardens behind it are there because of the Soviet army personnel, who were brought to Tartu due their work.

Former shop "Saluut"

Former store front of a grocery store "Saluut" (Salute). Soviet times introduced a comibination of friendship, unity and other similar names, which were put to describe the regime of USSR. This is one of the last original store fronts available in Tartu. A landmark.
