Home and Pärnu

When home in Tartu and home in Pärnu become one. Happens with medium format cameras, when you forgot to roll the film. But again could create interesting results if to do with a real intent.

Karolin

This is Karolin. A young, unique and creative soul: https://karolinkorre.ee/about-me

One summer, we met in Pärnu, and she showed us her parents' summer cottage. Not far from my aunt's place.

The human con

Do you know that Rael Artel used to run a small gallery space in Pärnu?
This spot was where I believe the gallery space was. Kadri and I used to always go back there to reminisce about the memories we had with this place.
Now Rael is busy with another great project in Tallinn: https://nakedisland.eu/

Corner of Karusselli

Pictured is the corner of Karusseli tänav in @visitparnu which has always been the central beach and home corner. Pärnu vibes.

It still surprises me while experimenting with these old expired negatives and how different the results are. Some frames are green and some are red. I think somebody who has more skills can explain this. Obviously, there is a connection to a colder and warmer, natural and artificial light, yes?

Lush Pärnu

Lush summer greenery in a city in the Estonian context. Where else you are getting this than not in Estonia?

Old Pärnu

Some original, rather ancient architecture in Pärnu. You can't experience this in many places these days.

Kamal, the owner of Vaga Mama

He also has a restaurant in Pärnu. I was able to take his portrait on Rüütli street in front of his restaurant. The food in his restaurants was always the best!

Jan Saudek's exhibition

A terrible photo/scan. But I appreciate it whenever there are photography exhibitions. Like this one, thanks to Uue Kunsti Muuseum I have been able to see some great photography and art every year when I visit the museum.

Anyway, as you can see from the last post, the new roll has started. Another one of those, faulty ones. But I guess it is what it is.
A gallery at @uuekunstimuuseum in @visitparnu One of my highlights when I am visiting the town.
